Jardin de las delicas waterfalls is in Santa Cruz of Bolivia.

Set on the border of the Amboro National Park is the spectacular and rarely visited Jardin de las delicas Waterfalls. This area comprises of 3 major waterfalls with the largest being close to 200m in height, they are surrounded by pristine forests and the area is teeming with Wildlife. Due to limited publicity and access difficulties this area is rarely visited, which is a shame as its easily one of the most beautiful areas in Bolivia. Such is the beauty of this location that National geographic chose this location for one of their feature nature television shows.

Set close to the Amboro National Park this area comprises of Amazon Rainforests, vast valleys , rivers and spectacular waterfalls.

Flora and fauna[edit]

Over 127 different mammal species have been recorded in the Amboro National Park including Jaguars, Pumas, Spider Monkeys ,Ocelots and much more. Animals usually seen here include many different species of Monkeys, Armadillos, Toucans,Parrots and more The area is a birders paradise with huge flocks of parrots, macaws, eagles, kites , toucans, and more in the area.

Jardin de las delicas waterfalls are located around 60 km from the city of Santa Cruz,. Entry to these waterfalls is challenging and should only be attempted by an experienced 4WD driver, this area is basically impossible to enter after rains and is extremely dangerous to do do, you have to cross many rivers and challenging roads. Once you arrive at the entrance you have a short 1.5 km scenic walk to the first of the 3 spectacular waterfalls. The main highlights of this area are the spectacular waterfalls, they all have to be seen to be believed, there is not many 200m plus waterfalls in the world where you can spend the day swimming and hiking and not see another tourists in sight, As well as the waterfalls the scenery is amazing , pristine forests and rivers are everywhere and the waterfalls themselves are set in forests valleys with superb views of the jungle. This is easily one of the most beautiful and unknown locations in Bolivia
