Holbrook [1] is a town in Eastern Arizona, once known as the "town too rough for women and churches." Travelers following the Route 66 itinerary will pass through here, as well as those passing through the modern Interstate 40. This is the nearest town to Petrified Forest National Park.

Nearest town to Petrified Forest National Park, and often gateway to Meteor Crater, Holbrook is small city focused on travelers - think at least 10-20 hotels/restaurants/gas stations to choose among respectively. Excellent for travelers, but mostly for services and proximity to attractions, rather than as an attraction itself, though for those perusing Route 66, it is presumably notable.
