They are many ways to enter Hoboken public transportation: Subway: The PATH (the Port Authority Trans Hudson)runs 24 hours a day and has stops near Newark and Jersey City.

Train: There are many rails that go through the train station in Hoboken: Pascack Valley Line, Bergen County Line, Main Line, Montclair-Boonton Line, Morristown Line, Gladstone Line, and North Jersey Coast Line.

Bus: NJ Transit Buses that go through Hoboken are 22, 64, 68, 85, 87, 89 to destinations within Hudson County and 126 from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. To see more details go to www.njtransit.com.

Car: Parking on the side of the road is limited in Hoboken however there are parking garages. Two are located at 21 2nd Street and 215 Hudson Street and another on 371 4th Street.

If you are planning to get to Hoboken by NJ Transit you are sure to see the lovely and refurished waiting room. It is considered the finest in the country you just have to see it for yourself with beautiful ceilings and a stain glass skylight. There is a lovely town museum called Hoboken Historical Museum at 1301 Hudson St. another museum would be the Monroe Center for the Arts and see productions by the Mile Square Theatre. Also visit the Clearview Cinema for the newest movies out. If that does not excite you, there is a brick arch and bronze star in the sidewalk at 415 Monroe Street representing the birth place of Frank Sinatra. Are you familiar with the hit TLC show called Cake Boss? Well it is located in Hoboken and should stop buy for a visit to see their beautiful cakes and other pasteries. There is also a lovely tour called Mangia Hoboken which takes you around all the different finest Italian cuisine Hoboken has to offer. Looking for a little show while you eat head to Maxwell or the Whiskey Bar and catch the live performances they have every day. If you want to catch a little sun the town likes to sun bathe at the Pier A Park. A more active activity would be to visit the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway where you can walk jog and bike along a trail with a great view of Manhattan across the river. They also have free kayaking at the river to get an even better view of Manhattan. Not a great enough view for you? There is the highest point of Hoboken called Castle Point Lookout on Steven's Campus for a great view of the Manhattan Skyline. Marvell at one of the top ten great streets of 2010 in Hoboken called Washington Street and enjoy all the stores, bakeries, delis, and much more. After a nice long day come to the many parks Hoboken has to offer such as Church Square Park, Columbus Park, Elysian Park and more. For more on the walking tours visit [1]

Have fun while kayaking for free along the Hudson River by the non profit organization at the Hoboken Cover Boathouse during the season if weather permitting between late May til September. There are many spring and fall music and art festivals to attend and free movies and concerts at Pier A, Sinatra Park, and the Shipyard Pier. There are many great areas to shop in Hoboken so be prepared to shop till you drop!
