Hershey [1] is a city in Susquehanna Valley. It has a rich history being the birthplace of Hershey's Chocolate. It features Hershey Park a theme park that provides fun for the family.

The town of Hershey, was planted from the roots up by Milton Snavely Hershey, and his wife Catherine Hershey in the 1900's. As the man who created the Chocolate Bar, but started his career making small caramels in Lancaster Pennsylvania, gave way to the biggest chocolate industry today. His success was not direct, but long lived, as he failed over 10 times, trying to build his Chocolate fantasy.

  • Chocolate World Great for children. Enjoy the "factory works" experience. Here children become a Hershey's factory employee and for just $10 they get a hat, picture id, and to become a worker in the kiss line. Also, in the factory works section there is a Bake Shoppe with fresh baked goodies. Upstairs, there is the Kit-Kat Cafe where hungry visitors may enjoy soups, sandwiches, pasta, coffee, and ice cream.

There is also a chocolate tour ride where people learn the process of making the famous Hershey kiss and many other Hershey products. At the end an employee will greet you with a free candy bar.   • Giant Center Complex Holds local events such as high school graduations, high school sports events, Hershey Bears minor league ice hockey games. Also holds cheer leading competitions, and concerts.
  • The Trolley Tour At Chocolate World, within the whole Amusement Park, there is a old Rail Trolley Car that takes its' passengers on a ride around the town of Hershey. A guide talks about the historical landmarks, that Mr. Hershey had built for this town. As the Trolley drives past the real Chocolate Factory, that is still run today, a guide explains how Mr. Hershey built his Chocolate Dream Town. He did indeed build the town of Hershey, once his Chocolate company was successful, for his workers. At the time of the Depression, when workers were relieved from their jobs and paid less, Mr. Hershey paid them more, and built the town to accommodate them. The Trolley drives to Hershey Gardens, to a place where his wife Catherine loved to plant. It runs by the overseeing hotel, Hotel Hershey; with gulf course and all. As the Trolley ride continues, the guide acts as though they are in the present time when Mr. Hershey was building his town. A person rides on the back of the Trolley(unseen by the passenger), it stops at these various locations, he runs from the back to the front of the Trolley, dressed up as a character from the time of Hershey, gets on and explains to them the location of scene they are at.

  • Milton Hershey School[3]. Milton Hersey gave his whole fortune to this school after his wife Catherine died in 1918. Mr. Hershey and his wife could not have children, so they wanted to build a school for orphan boys; Hershey Industrial School. The school was then built in 1909. Its mission was to nurture and educate children with social and financial needs to lead fulfilling and productive lives. The school is a cost-free, private, coeducational home and school for children of low income, limited, or social need. It offers a positive, structured home life year around, ranging from Pre Kindergarden to 12th grade education. The campus has 1,364 students from Pre-K to 12th grade, 660 are male, and 704 are female. 47% of the students are Caucasian, 47% being African American, 11% Hispanic, 1% Asian, and 9% being Native American or other. The school provides housing, which includes all meals, uniformed and leisure clothing, free educations, and leisure activities, including varsity sports, intramurals, and clubs. At the end, or term of each students schooling, trade, military, or college is partially piad for with the Continuing Education Scholarship. Each student must meet certain standards to receive this scholarship. He dedicated his entire fortune to these students at the Milton Hershey School, and when you buy a Hershey product, you are contributing to the bettering of each one of these less fortunate student
