Hermann

Hermann [1] is a small German town in Gasconade County, Central Missouri. Located on the Missouri River, just just off of the Katy Trail [2], it is famous for its many wineries.

Hermann is accessible via Amtrak [3]☎ +1 800 872-7245. As a stop on Amtrak's Missouri Routes, you must first go through Kansas City or St. Louis to reach Hermann. The station, located at Wharf & Gutenberg Streets, offers no services, so be sure to purchase your return ticket in advance. Although several of the bed & breakfasts are within walking distance of the station, many do offer pickup/drop-off service as well.

Whether coming from the east or west, I-70 is the interstate of choice. Hermann is on MO-19 (exit 175), 16 miles south of I-70. For those coming from the southwest, taking I-44 east to MO-19 will get you there as well.
