Heartlands (Western Australia)
From Wikitravel
Oceania : Australia : Western Australia : Heartlands
Many visitors drive hastily through the Heartlands region (also known as the Wheatbelt) from Perth to the Goldfields and the Nullarbor or vice versa, but this lesser-known Western Australian region has a few highlights of its own. The region covers almost 155,000 square kilometres and is bordered in the West by the Indian Ocean, Perth and the Peel region, in the Southwest by -- unsurprisingly -- the South West region, in the South by the Great Southern region, in the Southeast by the Esperance region, in the East by the Goldfields region and in the North by the Mid West.
