Hawes is a beautiful market town in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, famous for it's cheese.

Hawes is the perfect getaway for all ages, from the beautiful walk over the nearby village of burtasett to the family friendly walks directly around the market town. You will fall in love with the locals, the views and the quant shops.

Bus connection with Garsdale Head on the Settle to Carlisle railway. Bus from Leyburn. Dales and district bus 156/157 from Bedale via Leyburn.

Car based Dales explorers have grand if steep and narrow, roads to Swaledale and Wharfedale.

The museum near the old station. The market - Tuesdays The rope shop, with rope being made. Also see Gayle Mill which is very close on the main road down Wensleydale.
