Hasimara (or Hashimara) is a small town in Jalpaigiri district.

Although a picturesque little town surrounded by tea plantations, Hasimara's main interest to travellers is the town's railway station. It is nearest rail head to the Bhutanese border town of Phuentsholing, a thirty minute journey by road.

Hasimara is located on the main Siliguri to Guwahati line.The other trains having stoppages at Hasimara includes-Kanchankanya express(13149) from Sealdah, Capital Express(13248) from Danapur,Patna, Mahananda Express(14084) from Delhi via Patna, Ranchi(15661) via Malda.

There are frequent buses from Silguri (a three to four hour journey). All buses destined for Phuentsholing or Jaigaon make a stop here.It is 17 Km by road from Jaigan and nearly 180Km to Thimpu from here.
