Gwangmyeong (광명, 光明) is a city in Gyeonggi province.

Gwangmyeong might as well be part of Seoul considering that it is right near the border of the capital. For that reason, most people tend to hang out in Seoul rather than in Gwangmyeong.

Gwangmyeong has two major subway stations both on the No. 7 line: Gwangmyeong Sageori and Cheolsan.

The city also has a KTX station that is not that crowded or busy but that is farther away.

Gwangmyeong Speedome is one of the world's largest domed stadiums for bicycling with the capacity to seat 30,000 spectators.

The main area to eat and make merry in Gwangmyeong is the Cheolsan subway station area, which has just about anything for a night out: restaurants, bars, karaoke boxes, shooting ranges, batting cages, DVD viewing rooms and the like.
