Within Greater Accra Region the most common way of public transport is the tro-tro, a minivan with 15-23 seats and fixed lines and stations (but without any printed map or plan to look up the routes). The main stations in Accra are Circle (Nkrumah Circle), Kaneshi and Tema Station. From "Circle" Tro-Tros are going to the northern areas (37, Madina/Adenta/Legon, Achimota/La Paz, Pig Farm/New Town), the eastern ares (Labadi, Teshi) as well as to the city center (Tudu Station, Tema Station and Kaneshi). From Kaneshi you get Tro-Tros to the western parts of Accra (Malam Junction, Weija, Kasua) as well as to Cape Coast and Takoradi. Tema Station is the base for Tro-Tros to the eastern parts of Accra (Labadi, Teshi, Tema) as well as to the Volta Region. Taxis can be found on all major roads in Greater Accra and cost less if they are "shared taxis" which drive along fixed routes.
