Gravesend is in the county of Kent in the South East region of England. Gravesend is a historic town located on the river Thames, opposite Tilbury in Essex. Since the late 14th century passengers have been transported to and from London by water on a "Tilt Boat".

From London by train; London bridge, London waterloo east, London cannon street or London charing cross you can get a south eastern train direct to Gravesend. The journey takes about 50 minutes.

If you happen to be in Gravesend during the month of July, you may be lucky enough to meet local character 'benzo' in the George, during an annual drinking festival.
The New Inn, Queen Street. Enjoy a pint of local favourite 'Dartford Wobbler' over a game of pool. On friday and saturday night there is a dj spinning the latest tunes.
