Grand Forks County [1] is in the Red River Valley region in the eastern area of North Dakota, and across the Red River from Minnesota. Its county seat is Grand Forks. County area is 1,438 square miles and population is 66,109 people. The county incorporates 11 cities and 38 townships.

  • By car: I-29 is a major interstate highway that spans the entire eastern edge of North Dakota, from Winnipeg to South Dakota and passes through Grand Forks.
  • By Plane: Delta Air Lines non-stop service from Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)

  • Fishing in Fordville Dam, Kolding Dam, Larimore Dam and Niagara Dam for pike, walleye, perch and bluegill.
