I-70 runs right by Georgetown. It is located about 45 miles northwest of Denver, and about 50 miles east-southeast of Vail. The closest airport is Denver.

If you ever go to Georgetown, you should visit historic Georgetown, where they have shops, and great places to eat. There you can really have fun.

You should really ride the Georgetown Loop Railroad historic train. You have access to beautiful scenery, where the trees are only and arm's length away from the side of the train. You get on at the Devil's Gate in Georgetown, but you can also get on in Silver Plume. Roundtrip is about 45 minutes.
