WARNING: It is currently strongly advised to avoid visiting Ganzi region, and the cities along the Tibet/Sichuan borderline, such as Litang and Xiangcheng. Strong violence is currently rife in this area, and there is a possibility you could be a victim. The situation is most likely to die down by the time the Beijing 2008 Olympics have been completed, so the advice is to be patient and wait until complete normality has been restored here.

Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, (甘孜藏族自治州) known as Garzê in Tibetan, is in Sichuan Province, China.
