Franklin is a city in Norfolk County, Massachusetts. The city of Franklin is home to 33,186 people based from a 2013 listing. Franklin has the country’s first public library which contains a collection of Benjamin Franklin’s books. The city of Franklin is a lovely place to raise a family based off Family's Choice 2007 "Ten Best Towns for Families" in America. The city is driving distance from Boston, MA, Providence, RI, and many other cities in the Northeast. Franklin is home of many top rated restaurants, nightlife attractions, affordable homes, family leisure activities.

Interstate 495 runs southeast to northwest right through the heart of Franklin. Route 140 also runs right through the city of Franklin.

By plane[edit]

T.F. Green Airport

The closest airport to Franklin is T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island. T.F. Green Airport is the major airport in Rhode Island and can be found right off of the interstate.

From T.F. Green to Franklin, MA: A mile outside of the airport you will see signs for Interstate 95 North and Interstate 495 North to King Street in Franklin. You will follow those signs to exit 16 from Interstate 495 North. The bulk of the trip will be from the airport to exit 16. Then, you will continue on King Street to your destination in Franklin.

Boston Logan International Airport

The largest transportation center in New England. The airport contains many departments such as a fire department, police department, a power plant, two hotels, and a non-denominational chapel.

From Boston Logan International Airport to Franklin, MA: Immediately leaving the airport you will proceed to get on Interstate 90 West and take I-93 South, I-95 South and I-495 North to King Street in Franklin. Then, you will take exit 16 from I-495 North. Lastly, you will continue on King Street to your destination in Franklin.

The downtown has restaurants, bars, historical landmarks, and family attractions in which are all walking distance. If walking isn't in your company's best interest then taxi services can be used to drive from various locations in Franklin.

Franklin Reservoir, The reservoir borders Pleasant Street and is also known as the DelCarte Conservation Area. In November 2007, Milford Daily News called the Franklin Reservoir a “hidden gem.” It is a large pond where locals and tourists visit to relax and admire the great creation.

Franklin Historical Museum, 80 W Central St, Franklin, MA, [2]. The museum is a large white building that offers permanent exhibits and a handful of revolving exhibits throughout the year. It was founded in 1972 and contains a collection of about 4,000 artifacts.

Red Brick School, 1 Lincoln Street, Franklin, MA. Built in 1833 the Red Brick School is a one room school house. It is historic because it is known as one of the oldest schools to still be active. The bricks used to built the school were shipped from Boston with oxen.
