By plane[edit]

The closest major international airpot is Bologna's Guglielmo Marconi (Bologna) International Airport (IATA: BLQ) [2]. To get to Faenza will require a bus/taxi to Bologna Central train station then a train to Faenza(It will take around 90mins to get from Airport to Faenza). A taxi from the airport to the Central Station costs about €15. An Aerobus Ticket costs €6, and it stops outside the main terminal building. The final train to faenza will cost €5-10 and takes 40-60mins (almost all trains to faenza will be listed on the departure board as destined for Ancona)

Faenza is well connected on the Bologna–Ancona railway line. Trains are very frequent in both directions. From Bologna the train to faenza will cost €5-10 and takes 40-60mins (almost all trains to faenza will be listed on the departure board as destined for Ancona)

Faenza is also a terminus of two secondary railways, linking Faenza with Ravenna and Florence. This service is less frequent, there is a direct train every 2 hours. The train to and from Florence is a scenic option and is cheaper than going via Bologna
