Erding

Erding is a town of approx. 34,000 residents in the German federal state of Bavaria. It is located some 35 km north-east of Munich and directly south of Munich Airport (IATA: MUC).

Get in[edit]

By plane[edit]

The town of Erding is just south of Munich airport, which is served by most major airlines and has connections to many important destinations worldwide. In fact, half of the airport is located within the district of Erding. To get from the airport take buses 511 or 512 to get to town.

By train[edit]

Erding is part of Munich's MVV public transportation network. Its station is the terminus of the S2 line of the Munich S-Bahn trains (red suburban trains). It takes approx. 50 min to get from Munich central station (Hauptbahnhof) to Erding station.

The town is compact enough to cover it by foot.

  • Visit the famous Erdinger Weißbier brewery and taste some delicious Weißbier (traditional Bavarian wheat beer).
