The large mere with boats for hire on the edge of town. Also there are many other nice meres with pleasant walks around them within a few miles, Colemere especially.

Elesmere has at least 8 pubs and a social club. good pubs to visit are The Swan, The Railway, The Market, and the Red Lion which is on the edge of town near to the mere and next to the church.
