Edathua is a place in Kuttanad which a low lying wetland located in the , Alappuzha district, Kerala, India.
The palce is situated 14 km from Tiruvilla town the famous St. George Church which celebrates its feast during the month of May is an important location for the Christian Pilgrim

It is an ancient place and St.Thomas the apostle is said to have established the church.It is very famous church in south India. Many people all over india visit this place throught the year. This is very famous and many belives amoung people about the tradition and miracles. One holiman named Puthan Parambil Thommachan bone and bought up here. He is from famous Shankarapuri Family. This family was baptised by St. Thomas.
