Dysart is a coal mining town in the Bowen Basin coal fields of Central Queensland. It is located 129 km north of the Central Highlands town of Emerald, 250 km south-west of the coastal city of Mackay, and 340 km north west of Rockhampton.

The small, but modern, mining town is located on the eastern side of Dysart Road, 65 km south of the Peak Downs Highway (70).

Dysart serves the mines of Saraji and Norwich Park.

Dysart has a 1.55 km airstrip (14/32).
