Dunagiri is about 400 km North of Delhi in the Himalayas. Administratively, it falls under Almora district in the Indian hill state of Uttarakhand. It is close to the well known town of Ranikhet, from where it is 53 km on the Ranikhet-Kausani route. One can reach here by road - you can drive, take a bus or a taxi; you can reach here by train - the closest station is Kathgodam which is connected to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Calcutta, Varanasi and Jammu or you can take a flight from Delhi to the nearest airport at Pantnagar Airport (PGH). The way to get around is to walk! Having said that, there are state government buses connecting Dunagiri to Dwarahat and thereon to Ranikhet, Almora, Haldwani, Badrinath. Local taxis can be hired at Manglikhan to day trips.
