Dickinson, North Dakota [1] is the county seat of Stark County in Western North Dakota. It has a population of 17,787 people in 2010 census. Its map coordinates are latitude 46.88N, longitude 102.79W.

As in most smaller towns in North Dakota, travel by car is the most preferred method of travel. Due to the small centers of population spread out over such large distances, public transportation is non-existent.

Open Memorial Day through September. Scenic features include a prairie dog town and paved trail to a scenic vista overlooking the Badlands.
