Devechi is a city in Northeastern Azerbaijan.

The word Devechi means cameleer. Devechi's history is centered around trade that camels brought this arid region and the trade of camels themselves.

Devechi's eastern border is the Caspian Sea. From here, the landscape gradually rises into mountains toward its western border. From the Sea, plains stretch then turn into hills. Eventually, the hills grow into mountains that are snow capped during winter.
