[edit] Get in
Davos is accessible by train, bus or car. The nearest commercial airport with scheduled airline service is Zurich.
[edit] By train
From Zurich central railroad station (or from Zurich Airport vis connection at Zurich central railroad station), you can take a train to Davos Dorf or Davos Platz stations via a transfer at Landquart. The transit time is nearly 2.5 hours total. Trains leave Zurich during every hour from 0600 to 2100. The schedule is available at the official Swiss Federal Railways website. You can also check connections at [2]. Note 6 minute connection at Landquart is short, requiring rapid movement of luggage from one train to the next.
[edit] By bus during ski season
Bus going from Zurich airport to Davos Dorf or Davos Plat every Saturday and returning from Davos Dorf or Platz to airport very Saturday December through April. 2 hour trip. Pickup at train station 3 times during the day. Moderate price relative to train. More information[3].
[edit] By car
From Zürich: follow the highway A3/A13 (direction Chur) (green traffic signs) until the exit to Landquart. After Landquart follow the main road to Davos (highway 28). A permit sticker for Switzerland highways is required which costs CHF 40. Stickers are available at the customs offices, gas stations and post offices.
[edit] Get around
The municipal bus system is very convenient, traversing from one end of the Promenade to the other. Davos is only around 3 or 4 Km long and about 1 Km wide, so it is easy to get anywhere by bus and a short walk. Cabs are also available, but run about 12-15 CHF during the day and double that at night.'

- Kirchner Museum Davos was designed by famous architecture office Gigon & Guyer. It it located right next to the icehall.
- Davos Toursim Office What I witnessed at the Tourist office was not unpleasant. Although I called and confirmed our visit to the office the day before, Ms. Cornelia Linder, the Director of the operation, still had the audacity to tell me that she did not know that we were coming.

Restaurant/Bistro Gentiana, Promenade 53,011-41-081-413-5649. Small restaurant on the main thoroughfare of Davos. Short walk from many of the hotels. Specializes in local cuisine (fondues and regional dishes). Food was interesting and well presented. The ambience is that of a small cafe with attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyable (our best night out in Davos). Intermediate pricing. (Approximately 160 swiss frances for dinner with French chabilis, fondue, local entre with calf meat, lemon sorbet with Jägermeister (surprisingly good), and an after dinner drink).
