Frederiksberg [1] is in Copenhagen.

Frederiksberg might look as a part of Copenhagen to a traveller. But the municipality of Frederiksberg is actually an island inside the municipality of Copenhagen. The inhabitants of Frederiksberg have historically been richer than their neighbours around them. Although the rest of Copenhagen is catching up, Frederiksberg still have more parks, big villas with gardens, wide avenues, etc.

A lot of bus routes go through Frederiksberg. The metro stations Forum and Frederiksberg are in central Frederiksberg.

  • Haveselskabets Have, Pile Allé 6, [2]. Several nice small gardens run by the Garden Society free entrance.  edit
  • Copenhagen Zoo [3], Roskildevej 32, tel: +45 72200200. Entrance DKK 80 (DKK 60 for children 3-11). The Zoo has a restaurant, fast-food places, or you can bring your own food. Bus 4A, 6A, 26 and 832 goes to the zoo.
  • Storm P. Museum [4], tel: +45 38860523. Frederiksberg Runddel, at the entrance to Frederiksberg Have. Storm P. was a famous danish artist and author. The museum own more than 50000 drawing (of which only some are on exhibition).
  • Cisternerne Museum of Modern Glas Art [5], Pile Alle 55, tel: +45 33219310. Open Fr 2 pm-6pm. as-su, holidays 11 am-5pm. Closen DEc-Jan. The museum of is the old water cisterns under Søndermarken park opposite the main entrance to Zoo. Entrance DKK 40.

Go for a walk in the romantic Frederiksberg Have (Frederiksberg Garden), get in at Smallegade at Cafe Svejk or at the North end of Frederiksberg Alle.
