The Coonawarra is a wine-making region in the south-east of South Australia, not far from Mount Gambier and the Victorian border. It's a very small area, and a number of wineries have been established on the fringes and just outside the Coonawarra which produce wines almost indistinguishable from the Coonawarra versions.
