A curvy hour ride from Popayan, Coconuco offers Aguas Hirviendes, Agua Tibia hot springs and a few natural pools of cold water.
The last bus leaves Coconuco at around 5 pm.
To get to Aguas Hirviendes it is necessary to either wait on the town's main street for a 30 min mototaxi ride, or hike for 1-1½ hours uphill to the hot springs. There is a fork in the road with two signs that indicate the direction of the hot springs, to the left if heading from town.

- HostelTrail Aguas Hirviendos tour, ☎ 314 696 0805. If you are staying in Popayan, HostelTrail offers a 'downhill' cycling trip to the hot spring. The truck leaves at 10am from the hostel and takes about an hour and a half to get to the spring, passing through Coconuco on the way. You can return at your leisure on the bike provided, cycling "mostly" downhill for 2 hours to town (not counting breaks). Top tip, when returning to Popayan be sure to take the road to the left just after the gas station. The road cuts the return much shorter and is currently being paved (May 2015). You can ask the driver to point out the gas station on the way up if he doesn't do so himself. 50,000 COP all inclusive for 2, 45,000 for 3 (as of May 2015). edit
