Chiprovtsi (Чипровци) is a city in the Montana (province) of Northwest Bulgaria.

There are daily buses departing at 16:00 (except Sunday) and 18:00 from the Central Bus Station in Sofia. As of July 2008, a one-way ticket costs 16 leva (about 12,20 USD). The trip takes approximately 3 hours, the center of Chiprovtsi being the last stop on the route.
Buses depart from the Montana bus station at 10:20, 12:30 (M-F only), 15:50, 17:30, 18:30 (no Sunday), 19:35 and 20:20. The ticket costs 3 leva (2,30 USD), and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes. The majority of these buses are labeled to Martinovo (Мартиново), the final route destination.

The Historical Museum of Chiprovtsi - A museum featuring exhibitions on goldsmithing artifacts from the 16th and 17th centuries, the development and decline of mining through the centuries, the role of Catholicism during the 17th century, painted icons, and the development of carpet weaving from the 18th century to the present. Weekday hours: 8:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:30. Weekend and holiday hours: 8:30 - 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00. The price of admission is 1 lev for adults and 0.50 lev for children. Guided tours are available for 2 leva. Note: The actual museum is normally locked, and one must go to the administrative offices located to the left of the museum and ring the bell for assistance.
Katerina House - An ethnographic complex presenting the Torlaks' lifestyle. There is also a garden featuring plants used to dye wool for carpet weaving.
