understand ranni is a small town situatad in a district named pathnamthitta in kerala,india.it has a cool climate in winters.it is in the bank of river pampa.it is blessed with natural scenery.


Get in- ranni is linked with good roads.it has only 2 bus stops and no railway station. walking is not at all a good idea. pathnamthitta is only 17 kilometers and thriuvalla only 29 km.naerest railway station thiruvalla airport-kochi

Get around[edit]

There are many places to see in Central Travancore especially because it has yet to be "touristified." Perunthenaruvi-is a majestic and beautiful waterfall.covered by forest. The best season to visit could actually be the-rainy season (May to September) because it also happens to be mango season!

Central Travencore is also home to the temple of lord Ayappa which attracts devotees from all over South India.

  • Visit the city of Adoor (Known as the Door to Central Travancore). Adoor is a convenient place to stay for visitors who fly in thru Thiruvqndupuram, the capital of Kerala. It's a growing town that is pleasant and connected to most cities by the MC Road (Main Central Rd) that runs through it.  edit

The cuisine of Central Travancore is a meat lover's delight, with lot of emphasis on chicken, beef, mutton and Pork. The domination of Kerala Christianity (Nasarani) culture, has effectively created many unique dishes, many assimilated from West Asian or European culture. Since the region falls within spice belt, most of the dishes are extremely spicy and absolutely tasty.
