There are many places to see in Central Travancore especially because it has yet to be "touristified." Perunthenaruvi-is a majestic and beautiful waterfall.covered by forest. The best season to visit could actually be the-rainy season (May to September) because it also happens to be mango season!
Central Travencore is also home to the temple of lord Ayappa which attracts devotees from all over South India.
The cuisine of Central Travancore is a meat lover's delight, with lot of emphasis on chicken, beef, mutton and Pork. The domination of Kerala Christianity (Nasarani) culture, has effectively created many unique dishes, many assimilated from West Asian or European culture. Since the region falls within spice belt, most of the dishes are extremely spicy and absolutely tasty.
