Caucaia

Caucaia is a major suburb of Fortaleza in Ceará. It is the administrative and commercial center of a region comprising the beaches of Cumbuco and Icaraí

The city in itself has little to attract tourists, but you might find it convenient as a bus hub and shopping district of easier access than Fortaleza

Frequent buses to Fortaleza and Cumbuco (via Icaraí). Also a number of buses to western parts of the states, such as Taíba and Paracuru

  • The biggest supermarket around is Super Bahamas. They will deliver at your door, even as far as Cumbuco if you shop for more than R$ 50.
