Carndonagh (Irish: Carn Domhnach)is a market town located more or less in the centre of Inishowen and the main gateway for Malin Head.

St Patrick's Cross (Donagh Cross)on the southern side of the town is reputed to date from the time of St Patrick.
The Catholic church on top of the hill in the cetre of town dominates the local landscape.

As befits a market town, shops mostly serve the local community. Regular farmers market if you want to buy sheep or cattle!!
