Canmore is in a town in the Alberta Rockies, Canada.

Getting into Canmore usually takes a car or a bus. HWY1 is the only road through-out town from Calgary, but also highway 1A has great views, but takes longer.

Canmore is small enough to walk around and get great views where ever you go.Taxis withen the city range from around CAD$5.00. Also consider the "Party Bus", basically a converted school bus that transports locals and tourist alike around town to different bars and pubs.

Canmore is a Rocky Mountain playground. Golf, hike, dine, party, ski, snowshoe, dog sled, spa, etc. — it's all here.

• The Georgetown Inn, [3]. Unique, cozy hotel with extremely helpful staff. The fireplaces in the rooms are a great touch! The only downside is that it can be difficult to find the place in the dark as the sign is on the smaller side, on the ground, and not lit very well.  edit
