Most places cost 40000 per dish, more or less. Since we are on a semi-strict budget, we didn't eat at those places. We found one and only one place where we could sit down and have tasty, healthy food at a good price. I think the name was Warung S___ but I can't remember exactly. What I can tell you is that from AGUNG Bungalows, it's about 200m north (towards the lagoon) on the opposite side of the road. The prices on everything from juice to chicken curry are 30% of what you see at the places that cater to tourists, and while the chairs were somewhat uncomfortable, the staff is friendly and the food great.

We stayed at AGUNG BUNGALOWS. It has no web site. There are bout 10 cabinas with hot water, and a nice garden. The owners are friendly and have an interesting pet. Contact number (0363) 41535. We paid 150000 per night for 2 persons incluging breakfast for one of the nicest ones, right on the edge of the water. It is right in the town, about 500m south along the main road, from the lagoon. There was no TV, we have a laptop so we watched a few movies I had.

We booked a trip from Candidasa to Lovina. The two of us paid 450000 for the trip including driver, car, and gas. We drove past Besakih, then past the volcano viewpoints, down the other (north) side, and the driver dropped us off at Kalibukbuk. The driver was friendly, safe, and spoke good English. The car was good. The driver was Iwayan Darmaja who lives in Candidasa, mobile number (62) 085 935 144 459, home number 081 747 27651, website listed on his business card is www.darmajatour.com but I never looked at the website as I met the man locally. Good toyota vehicle.
