Caldas da Rainha is a city in western Portugal.

Caldas da Rainha can be accessed from one main Portuguese highway, A8. This highway connects Lisbon to Leiria and Caldas da Rainha is located in the exit 18 of this motorway.

Caldas da Rainha has a bus terminal right in the city centre. There are connections with some major cities through the Rede Nacional de Expressos coach company. A ticket from Lisbon costs €7.50 and the journey takes 1h10.

Caldas da Rainha has an interesting train station full of art pieces. Daily regional and inter-regional trains connect Caldas da Rainha to other locations. You can know the train schedules in the Comboios de Portugal train company site.

It is easy to get around Caldas da Rainha by foot. Most locations of interest are within 10 to 15 minutes walking. Still, if you want to catch a bus, there is a fairly cheap and new bus system - TOMA. You can catch a bus for as low as € 0.20 and travel through Caldas da Rainha having two different lines - green line and orange line - at your disposal.
