Get in[edit]

By train[edit]

The railway station is a short walk from the town centre and is served by four Irish Rail trains a day (except Sundays) providing links to Clonmel, Carrick-On-Suir, Waterford and Tipperary. Connections to/from Dublin, Cork and Limerick can be easily made by changing at Limerick Junction. The railway line through South County Tipperary is particularly scenic. Passengers commencing their journey at Cahir can buy tickets from the conductor onboard the train.

By bus[edit]

Bus Eireann has plenty of services from the major cities, including Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Dublin. The bus stop is in front of the castle, right beside the tourist office.
