Bay County is served by the Panama City-Bay County International Airport (IATA: PFN) in Panama City. PCBCIA, while International in name, currently does not offer any regularly scheduled international flights. Delta Air Lines offers daily non-stop service under the Delta Connection brand from Atlanta and Orlando, as well as a Saturday-only flight from Cincinnati. Northwest Airlines offers daily non-stop service under the Northwest Airlink brand from Memphis. Located nearly in the center of the county it can be short drive to parts around Tyndall AFB or the east end of Panama City Beach. However, to get to the west end of the beach or to Mexico Beach, which is east of Tyndall AFB, can take a little longer.

Opening in 2009 will be the new Panama City-Bay County International Airport located in West Bay, Florida. This will be much more convenient to travelers heading to the beaches and could result in more airlines and destinations served. However, it will mean longer driving times to the eastern ends of the county, including Mexico Beach.

[edit] By car

There are several options in order to arrive in Bay County. The most popular ways from the north include US Highway 231 which terminates in Panama City, State Road 77 which also terminates in Panama City and State Road 79 which terminates in Panama City Beach. From the east or west US Highway 98 is the main highway, going through nearly every city within the county, with the exception of Lynn Haven.
