Baoting (保亭; Bǎo​tíng​) is a small city in the hills of Hainan Province in China.


Baoting used to be the island's second largest city (after the capital, Haikou), but is now being surpassed by nearby Sanya. The city is the home town of the Soong sisters, two of whom married the Chinese leaders Sun Yat Sen and Chiang Kai Shek.

The site has a total planning area of 45 square kilometers encircled by an ecological protection area of 123 square kilometers.
