Baoting (保亭) is a small city in the hills of Hainan Province, China.

Baoting used to be the island's second largest city (after the capital, Haikou), but is now being surpassed by nearby Sanya.

The city is the home town of the Soong sisters, two of whom married the Chinese leaders Sun Yat Sen and Chiang Kai Shek.
