Ban Muang Kut is the village to access the river. Few outfitters/travel agents in Chiang Mai are offering a one day rafting trip. The rafting section is short so it is better to plan another activity together on this day. A typical day would be to visit elephant camp in the morning and river rafting session in the afternoon. The MaeTang River Camp, an adventure campsite located in Ban Muang Kut on the bank of the river offers various tours and trekking in the area. Contact for more info. Rafting is seasonal therefore not operated during dry season.
