A free beach trolley runs between Port San Luis, Avila Beach, Shell Beach and Pismo Beach on Saturdays and Sundays during spring summer and fall, and additionally on Thursdays and Fridays during the summer (May 25 to Sep 2).

A fairly strenuous 3.5 mile round trip docent-led hike from Port San Luis Harbor to Point San Luis allowing a closeup look and tour of the San Luis Point Lighthouse. Ages 9 and up.
