Kifissia is one of the first suburbs of Athens and has always been an elite one. You will notice many mansions and villas and expensive apartments. Now, Kifissia has become an expensive shopping district along with Kolonaki. There are also many cafes and luxurious hotels especially in an upper district of Kifissia, Kefalari.
Do as the locals do and go to Kifissia on the metro line 1 [1]. Kifisia is currently the last station of the the train.
You can also drive through the National Road if you use your car. The main avenue that will get you there there is Kifisias Avenue which starts from the center of Athens.
The mansions which were build at the beggining of the 20th century as well as big villas which are situated at Kefalari (Κεφαλάρι), Politia (Πολιτεία) or Strofili (Στροφύλι).
Kifisia is one of the main shoping centers of the Greater Athens Area, with plenty of shops which fullfill all tastes and desires: bookshops, shops with electronic material and of course clothing. Max out your credit card at the high end luxury boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Ralph Lauren and others and worry about your credit card bill later.
