Aninoasa

Aninoasa is a town in Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania.

The town is located in Jiu Valley, which is a coal basin, and many of the towns residents are coal miners. Most of the town was built along Aninoasa creek, and the town is actually separated into two areas by the West Jiu River.

Aninoasa is the oldest town in Hunedoara County, being mentioned as far back as 1453 AD.

Aninoasa is located near Petrosani on the DN 66A road,between Petrosani and Vulcan.

Transport with maxi-taxi is an effective way to travel in the Jiu Valley. Minibuses carry passengers between the Jiu Valley cities and to and from Deva. Minibuses leave from 10 to 10 minutes or more often.
