Amenia is a rural town of 89 people in Cass County, in the southeastern area of North Dakota. Coordinates are latitude 47.01 N and longitude 97.22 W.

Amenia gets its name indirectly from Amenia, New York. Ben Chaffee came west from NY to North Dakota and founded the Amenia Sharon Land Company.
