Alvin is in the Gulf Coast of Texas. Home of the Pitcher Nolan Ryan. It's about 20 miles southeast of Houston, at the intersections of SH-35 and SH-6.

SH-35 business cuts right through down town. From I-45, exit Telephone Rd. and go south until you see Alvin.

  • Nolan Ryan fans be sure to catch the statue of him. The Mcdonalds on highway 35 at the south end of Alvin is replete with Nolan Ryan garb.

Pecans fallen from the trees. They're addictive!

Brazoria county is recently a "wet" county. Previously, it was "damp" which meant you could only buy beer with low alcohol content. The availability is still somewhat lacking, so consider going to Galveston County for a better selection.
