In English, the name of a county would be Brevard County. What would the proper way to list the name in German?
- Grafschaft Brevard
- Brevard Grafschaft
Thank you. (Gamweb)
- I have changed the translation of county into "Bezirk" (meaning something like district). I think that is closer to its original meaning. "Grafschaft" is a more appropriate translation for England's counties and shires, because it is related to the gentry. I think we don't have to translate the name of the counties, because they are proper names. In my opinion counties such as "Orange County" are usually called the same in Germany, without translation, for example on the German Wikipedia. -- Albion 00:34, 24. Aug. 2007 (CEST)
